Some positive news for the Monster Energy/Pro Circuit Kawasaki team this weekend as Lucas Oil Pro Motocross returns at Unadilla.
The team will welcome back Cameron McAdoo, who has been out since the opener at Fox Raceway after sustaining a broken sternum and bleeding on his lungs in a gnarly crash.
Here is what Cameron wrote on his IG at the time:
“UPDATE: I had a crash on lap one of the first moto yesterday which resulted in a broken Sternum and some bleeding on my lungs. I am more than disappointed as my team and I put in lots of work heading into outdoors and were really looking forward to the summer. Sometimes it’s very hard not to ask “why” or get down on myself in this situation but I’m going to take responsibility and keep pushing forward. I can’t wait to be back out there later this summer. As always thanks everyone for the love and support”
The team will also get back Ryder DiFrancesco after he completed his amateur career at Loretta’s last weekend. Prior to Loretta’s Ryder raced RedBud and Spring Creek and finished 13th and 8th overall, respectively.
“It was a nice three-week break for us. Everyone is refreshed and ready to go again. Jo, Seth, Cameron, Jett and Ryder have been riding together during the break with Cameron making his return with us at Unadilla. We have done a little testing with him to get his bike up to speed with Jo and Seth’s current setup. Jett has been making progress and we hope to see him back shortly. After his final appearance at Loretta Lynn’s, Ryder will rejoin us for the final four rounds of the motocross season. That makes us a four-rider team for Unadilla!” – Iain Southwell, Team Manager.
That’s great that Cameron McAdoo is back. But he has got to stop crashing. If I was team manager, I would tell him to relax and ride his own race. I think he’s too young to be this close to career-ending crashes (God forbid). But really, I hope he does well this season and can keep it on two wheels.
