It’s already been an unbelievable year for Drew Adams, the next great red head to bless our sport. This year alone, he’s won three rounds of Supercross Futures, three rounds of the Triple Crown Series in Canada (in the MX2 Class) and was the points leader until the last round over the weekend, he won the Scouting Moto Combine at RedBud.
Well, yesterday he added another honor: claiming the Nicky Hayden AMA Motocross Horizon Award after clinching the 250 Pro Sport title with 4-1-1 motos. Adams has one more Open Pro Sport moto to go today and he’ll look to wrap up that title as well, as he entered the third and final moto with 1-1 scores.
After his win, Adams said he’ll be turning pro at Ironman on August 24.
What a year for Adams and it will be interesting to see where he lines up in the pro ranks.
