The Sage of Glen Helen Continues

The Glen Helen vs MX Sports saga is back in the headlines. For those unfamiliar, the two have been at odds for a while, which is why Glen Helen has been on and off the Pro Motocross schedule for a number of years — they haven’t held a National since 2018.

Why now, almost six years since they last held a National, is it back? Our boy Gypsy Tales is why. Recently the Gypsy had MX Sports and Racer X’s Davey Coombs on the podcast and they talked about why Glen Helen doesn’t have a National.

Townley’s Kid Is a Champ

Wanna feel old? Ben Townley’s kid is now a Junior Motocross World Champion. Last weekend at the FIM Junior Wolrd Motocross Championship in Heerde, The Netherlands, Levi Townley secured the secured the 85cc title becoming the first bLU cRU YZ Cup rider to win a Junior Motocross World Title.

That’s not all: Townley’s historic victory also makes him the first New Zealander to claim a Junior Motocross World Title. Massive accolades for the 14-year-old!

Townley’s other son, Jaggar, Levi’s younger brother, also competed at the event, finishing 36th in the 85 class.
