Each week, Slaw (Slaw has been fired), (then re-hired by corporate) Cade Clason, Troy Dog, Ginger Dog, and Denny Stephenson will come up with some topics and then list the riders most likely to accomplish those feats. Hence the title “Most Likely”. Most would call us brilliant.

This week we’re doing a Pro Motocross Championship review, so please enjoy.

Which rider in the 250 class didn’t have the season that you most likely thought they would?

Cade Dog: If the answer isn’t the 17 machine, well, then you’d be wrong. High hopes for that guy, sad to see it go the way it did

Troy Dog: I guess I’m wrong Cade, but personally I thought that Tom Vialle was going to win the championship this summer. Or at least win more than one overall. Vialle has accomplished more than anyone in the class and is a two-time world champ, I just expected more.

Slaw Dog: I had Joe Dog as a title contender. That take did not turn out great for me.

Which rider in the 450 class didn’t have the season that you most likely thought they would?

Cade Dog: Sadly, my buddy John short, I was pumped when he got the fill in with mad parts, but it never turned out great. Hope he can get it straightened out!

Troy Dog: Everyone was pretty on par, but I thought Cade would score points. Don’t worry we’ve talked about this and I understand.

Slaw Dog: Jett. I thought he would win the title. He didn’t. Something tells me his career will pan out just fine despite this.

Which 250 rider most likely surprised you the most this season on how well they did?

Cade Dog: Dilan Schwartz, that kid has factory level speed and what I would consider a well ran privateer team. Some bad luck towards the end, but he rode great for most of the season.

Troy Dog: Jordon Smith! A podium at Ironman too! Smith really put in the work this summer and finished ninth in the standings. He’s heading to the SMX Playoffs as a sixth seed!

Slaw Dog: Jalek Swoll. On a brand new bike, he was more than solid all year and even snagged a podium late. Great year for Jalek.

Which 450 rider most likely surprised you the most this season on how well they did?

Cade Dog: That Phil guy, look, I know he’s good. But he is older, on his way out, and he was grinding. He’s hurt, but was there almost every weekend, and his starts are so damn impressive.

Troy Dog: Mookie really put in some awesome results this summer. I know it shouldn’t surprise me, but after not riding the outdoors for many years he jumped right in and ran the pace just fine.

Slaw: This shouldn’t have surprised me, but Fredrik Noren continues to just be a damn good rider. Another top 10 in points, with no factory support. He’s been doing this for like 20 years, but somehow I was surprised this year for some reason.

Which rider from the Moto Combine at Ironman is going to most likely go on and have the better career?

Cade Dog: I watched the Moto, they were impressive, and the level of send was HIGHHHHH. No fear from the kiddos, but truthfully, I don’t know any of their names.

Troy Dog: Slaw will cover Cole Davies, but I really dig the way this Leum Oehlhof kid rides. He’s got that dog in him and his dad Joe is going to make sure he’s ready in the long game.

Slaw: I will not shit on amateur riders like Troy is trying to make me do. We haven’t seen a lot of him, but I do like Cole Davies.

Which rider is most likely to be cooked the most after the playoffs conclude?

Cade Dog: Most of the 450 class will want to retire after 31 races…. It’s a lot.

Troy Dog: All of them are going to be cooked except one man. Chiz is going to ask for more races, you can bet on that.

Slaw Dog: ALL OF THEM!!!! 31 rounds is too much.

Which privateer most likely surprised you the most this season?

Cade Dog: Weltin, he crushed outdoors.

Troy Dog: T-Dog Squad’s own Marshal Weltin and Derek Kelley. This shouldn’t come as a surprise. As we’ve seen in the past many riders have jumped onboard of our program to have the best results of their career. It’s not a coincidence. Cade turned us down a couple of times and he now sees his mistake.

Slaw Dog: Marshal Weltin. He was damn good all season after an injury riddled 2023.

Is your world most likely ending now that Haiden Deegan isn’t on the Motocross of Nations team?

Cade Dog: I mean, if it was just his wrist, I would totally understand why he’s not going, it’s all the other nonsense that frustrates me.

Troy Dog: No, I’m happy Chance Hymas is going. He’s an incredible pick and the team is lucky to have him. Just wait, he’s going to be the hero. He wants to go and I think that he has an awesome vibe about the race.

Slaw Dog: No, I’m fine, but I had to go through weeks of therapy to get there.
