We are down nine rounds! The Monster Energy Supercross Championship is off this weekend, so in this edition of Most Likely, we examine some things like who is most likely to win the East Division? Is Sexton most likely to bounce back following the off-weekend and more.
Read on…
The top four in the 250SX East Division are separated by 12 points. Who is most likely to win the title?
Things are getting tight in the East heading into the off-weekend. Did you know Tom Vialle is the points leader? Kind of shocking, but I also expected this. I wrote this prior to Daytona:
The defending champ is off to a slow start, but remember, this is when he started catching his stride a year ago and won his first career SX.
Yet, I don’t have Vialle as the favorite. I’m going with “Mad” Max Anstie. The off-weekend will help him recovery and he comes out swinging next weekend to re-take the points lead.

Is Chase Sexton most likely to bounce back after the off-week?
This break couldn’t come at a better time for Sexton. The championship was starting to get away from him. Racer X put together some stats and found that Sexton is historically better in the second half of the season. Yet… like Vialle, I don’t think Sexton is the favorite for the title. I’m sticking with Cooper Webb. He has the confidence. He’s firing on all cylinders and has the mental fortitude to hang on to this thing.

Is Seth Hammaker most likely to win again this year?
100%. If not for some bad chicken, Ham Dog would be the points leader. It took a LONG time for Hammaker to get back to this spot, but I think this is just what he needed to string together another TWO—yes two—wins this year.
