We set up the card table. We then draped it with the nicest cloth table cover we could find at Dollar General. We then laid out the cards the absolute best we could. And on top of it all, we put the entire pot right there in the middle for all the players to see. With a few phone calls we started lining up the best training facilities to come sit at this metaphorical table, and with that, the inaugural Vurb Classic Conductors Cup was born. This “card game” would award the winner a $35,000 video shoot at their facility, along with an A-Class ad package on this great website for an entire month of their choosing. Let’s just say there was a lot at stake during this round of Texas hold’em.
The rules were simple. Bring your best racers, and, well, let them race. We would take the racer with the best average finish from each of category – 50cc/65cc, 85cc/Supermini, and Big Bikes – and then average those three scores as well. After the math was all said and done, it would calculate the winner. There was pretty much only one rule: a racer MUST compete in, at minimum, two classes per category to qualify. For the unfortunate sake of ClubMX, this took them out of the running for 2021. It also meant facilities like MTF and Moto Sandbox couldn’t participate since they don’t train 65cc/50cc riders. But don’t fret, there are many things we learned this year that will help us go back to the drawing board for 2022 and make this thing even bigger and better.
After a weekend of racing, and much math and decimal points later, the results came in and this is what they look like. The Average Finish noted in bold are the ones that count towards the final result.

Moto X Compound Best Rider’s Cumulative Average Finish
2.22
Matt Walker stated, “This was truly like playing cards against my sister’s kids.” Well, that’s one way to start the hype for the 2022 Conductor’s Cup.
Been 'round these parts making dirtbike movies since '02; a weathered veteran with moto and camera related back issues, the hearing equivalent to my great-great grandfather's, and a dirt tan that will literally never come off. But I'm still in way better shape than every other dog in this joint, but that's because I use Chili and no slaw.
