Nate Thrasher Out For Now With a Broken Collarbone

Monster Energy Star Racing Yamaha’s Nate Thrasher finished 10-14 for 11th overall at Hangtown with a broken collarbone!

No mention was made of the injury in the press release by Yamaha after the event, but Thrasher announced on Instagram today that he had an x-ray done yesterday. Come to find out, Thrasher crashed last week at the Farm, which caused the injury and it bent the already plated bone. Impressive ride indeed!

Thrasher is all set to get the collarbone plated and will have surgery on Wednesday. He did not set a timetable on his return, but as we’ve seen with riders like Coty Schock, they can bounce back quite quickly.

Thrasher currently sits 9th in the 250MX standings. We will keep you updated as we learn when he can make his return to racing.
