WHAT. A. WEEK.
On Wednesday, Troy Lee Designs/Red Bull KTM teased a “guest rider” for this weekend at Spring Creek. We had some GREAT IDEAS, but in the end, it was Nate Thrasher who would get the gig!
NOT so fast my friends. As we’ve heard, and as the Weege reported over at Racer X, Thrasher is now out for this weekend. (He also confirmed it on Instagram.) No, not because of injury or anything like that. Apparently, Thrasher is part of a complicated process involving TLD and Monster Energy/Star Racing Yamaha.
It’s complicated and while nothing is official, it appears Thrasher is going to Star Racing while Justin Barcia will be moving to Gas Gas (run by TLD in 2021) on a 450. Yamaha initially matched the offer Gas Gas made, but now it appears that is no longer happening.
This is all kinds of crazy and will work itself out in the coming days, but for now….

With a spot open on TLD due to Pierce Brown’s knee injury, it’s a perfect time to bring up Andrea!
