Nashville has delivered some amazing action and this year was no different! Coming into the race we had two showdowns of sorts. One of course the scheduled East/West Showdown and one unexpected 450SX red plate showdown. We couldn’t have scripted anything that happened on Saturday night.
Rider Updates:
Ken Roczen: A blown rear shock to a crash in the whoops.
Garrett Marchbanks: Heat race crash.
Chase Sexton: From throttle sticking to over the bars.
Levi Kitchen: From last to 14th with potentially broken ribs.
Jett Lawrence Wins
Jett Lawrence put on a mid race charge to catch Eli Tomac and won convincingly. Cooper Webb rounded out the podium. With three races left, Jett now holds a five point lead in the standings. It’s a little breathing room, but as we’ve seen anything can happen, and let’s not forget that Webb is a gamer.
RJ Hampshire Wins East/West Showdown
Rick lead from beginning to the end in Nashville. He really needed this to get back into the championship fight. He entered Nash with a ten-point deficit to Levi Kitchen, who was carrying all of the momentum. Kitchen crashed on the first lap in the first rhythm section after coming together with his teammate Cameron McAdoo. Kitchen would come from way back in last to 14th, with potentially broken ribs.
