Silly season continues to roll along and yesterday we got another rider announcing his departure from the Monster Energy/Yamaha Star Racing team.
Nick Romano confirmed in an Instagram post that he will depart the team in 2025 after five seasons (including an amateur deal).
“What feels like the end is often the beginning. Beyond thankful for the last 5 years @starracingyamaha thank you everyone 🤝🏼”
The New York native turned pro with the team at the start of the 2022 Pro Motocross season following four titles at Loretta Lynn’s. He finished 16th in his rookie season but missed all of 2023 with a knee injury.
Romano debuted in Monster Energy Supercross with the team in the 2024 250SX East Region and 13th overall. In his second season in Pro Motocross he finished 16th overall and ended his season, and time with Star Racing, by taking home 13th overall in the SuperMotocross Playoffs.
What’s next for Romano? He has been linked to Phoenix Honda for 2025, but nothing has been made official.
