Check out the full rosters for 2023 here and drop your rankings if you feel like it.
Ginger Dog
-Kenny has to be thirsty for more after his performance at High Point. He topped points for WSX last year and we all know he wants to do it again this year.
-Joey finished second to Kenny in the ‘22 championship and he won the Australian round. He’s going to do amazing this year too.
-Blose was supposed to wrap up his professional racing career in 2022. He came back, finished 7th in points for 250 SX, AND was third overall in the WSX SX2 class last year. Chris, you are a beast.
-Justin Brayton has to be one of the nicest dudes I’ve ever met. At 39 he’s still dominating and pulling really impressive results (like his overall 4th in WSX last year).
-My prediction is the four time AMA Arenacross champ is going to wrap WSX with some good cash in his purse.
-I don’t want to start beef with my guys BUT Kyle is the true Dog Squad OG. I remember when T was first pulling all of this goodness together and Chiz was our first supporter. I even made him a Cincy basket full of Skyline Chili and Larosa’s pizza stuff which was sadly lost somewhere in the rig during transport out of Indy. It’s okay Kyle, we still love you. When it comes to WSX we all know that Chiz is gonna Chiz.
-I’m honestly just excited for this kid and I’m ready to see what he can do.
-Friese, you better behave this year.
-Three riders from Pipes Motorsports Group made my ranks this week. I want to shout out the entire team including all the guys working behind the scenes. I can’t even fathom what all goes into getting bikes and equipment transported all over the world. We see the guys on the bike but it’s so much bigger than that.
-It’s Birmingham for round one y’all. Who doesn’t love a good batch of chips?
Slaw Dog
– Ken gonna Ken y’all. He is the favorite for sure, but my guy in second could be a contender.
– Joey hasn’t raced a ton this year, but that don’t matter to Slaw. Dude is gonna challenge Ken this year. Stamp it.
– Ummm, y’all remember how fast Justin Hill was at the end of Supercross? Yeah, he’s def gonna win some Super Pole’s.
– Max is my favorite for SX2.
– Enzo is my second favorite for SX2.
– Shane is my third favorite for SX2.
– KP is my fourth favorite for SX2.
– Never ever count out JB. He’s very very good overseas. I don’t care how old he is.
– Seely gonna crush. Stamp it.
– If I knew he was 100% he’d probably be higher. But I don’t.
Troy Dog
– Roczen showed up to High Point and gave Jett Lawrence a challenge and he’s also the biggest name in WSX.
– Brayton can easily play a darkhorse to win any round in this championship. Is he really the underdog though? It’s JB10. This guy has forgotten more about supercross than some of the younger guys that he’s racing even know.
– Shane McElrath is back in SX2 to defend his championship for Rick Ware Racing. I talked to him a month or so ago and he told me that he’s excited for the challenge and he’s ready to continue to progress as a rider. He feels that he’s close to reaching his greatest potential.
– Savatgy is another top rider in this championship and I’m sure that he wants to prove to everyone that he can in fact beat Roczen. I just hope that when he starts racing that he doesn’t stop tweeting weird stuff.
-Yoder has a new ride with Pipes Motorsport Group, he signed on to the Troy Dog Squad Elite Athlete Program, and he was on the Squad Pod this week to talk about it all. BIG week for Yodog.
– Justin Hill is still riding high from his success from the Monster Energy Supercross Championship. He came on strong in the back half of the season and found his old speed and probably improved upon it. He’ll want to win and be on the podium.
– Enzo had a season to remember in Monster Energy Supercross. At one point he was third in the 250SX West standings! He had all the fans begging teams for him to get a factory ride. He will be a big contender for the SX2 championship.
-Another SX2 championship contender here with Max Anstie. Anstie won a race in Monster Energy SX, albeit muddy, but still a W.
– I put fan favorite Vince Friese on here because of the skills that he has on a dirt bike. He’s always getting great starts and has improved so much over the years. Now if only we could get him to stop offering riders money to take other riders out…
– Dean-O is a fan favorite and I’m glad he’s racing WSX. He will have some of the biggest cheers and I think he’s going to have a great season.
