Preston Boespflug Provides Injury Update Following Indianapolis Supercross Crash

Partzilla Blaster Power PRMX Racing’s Preston Boespflug released an update on Sunday following a massive crash in the 250SX East Division qualifying session on Saturday at Indianapolis Supercross. 

The Washington native come up short in a rhythm section and ejected off his bike, landing feet first. He was immediately attended to by the Alpinestars medical crew and was eventually placed on a backboard and the qualifying session was red flagged.

In a Facebook story post (which was captured by Racer X’s Mitch Kendra) Boespflug said he suffered a broken femur and a dislocated knee in the crash and underwent surgery on Sunday morning.

Prior to Indianapolis, the second year pro had qualified for two East Division main events with his best finish a 19th coming at Detroit. He is currently 23rd in East Division points.
