Prospect Is Here and I Got a Dirt Bike to Prove It

Building an app was not supposed to end with me icing my knees and trying to convince my wife that riding again is a “business expense.”

But here we are.

For years, we’ve talked about creating a platform that does justice to the motocross world. Not just another website with race results buried under a dozen dropdowns—but a central hub where you can track your racing, scout events, stalk your buddies’ lap times, and flex your wins like it’s your full-time job.

So we built Prospect.

It’s everything we always wished existed:

  • Live timing that works like it’s from this decade.
  • Auto-updated rider profiles with historical results.
  • A ranking system based on real-time analytics.
  • Tracks, events, and riders all in one spot.

And we’re just getting started.

This app is the culmination of years of dreaming, talking, arguing (in a healthy way), and grinding. It’s a hub for live timing, rankings, past results, track discovery, and rider profiles—all in one place. It’s the app we wished existed back when we were first covering Loretta’s in flip-flops and hauling around a RED camera like it was a toddler.

But the real problem? While testing the app, I didn’t have a rider profile because I haven’t raced in God knows how long. Wes had a profile. Even Crane had one. Next thing I know, I’m picking up a bike from Yamaha (huge shout out to them for making me feel factory) and justifying a new bike as “content strategy.”

And now I’m planning my return, pretending I’m 21, and plotting my strategy to beat the hell out of all the Vurb dudes in the rankings (which shouldn’t be hard).

We didn’t just build Prospect for the hardcore kids chasing Loretta’s (though it’s perfect for that). We built it for:

  • The dads still holding onto the dream.
  • The weekend warriors who live for gate drops.
  • The up-and-comers trying to get noticed.
  • And washed-up media guys like me who just want one more holeshot.

This has been a dream of ours since the beginning of Vurb. And seeing it live, in the wild, being used at real races? It’s honestly one of the coolest things we’ve ever done.

Prospect is here and it’s going to change how this sport connects.

If you’re reading this and planning to race… please don’t sign up in my class. I need all the help I can get.
