According to a report from Racer X, Marvin Musquin has agreed to a one-year extension with Red Bull KTM that will keep the Frenchman on the team through the 2023 season.
Per the report, Marvin will remain on a Supercross-only contract with the team.
Musquin, 32, is entering his 13th season with the U.S. Red Bull KTM Factory Racing team in 2023, the only team he’s ridden for since coming over from the MXGP series.
The deal was announced on Monday at the KTM Group’s Rev Dealer Summit, held at the NASCAR Hall of Fame in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Musquin finished fourth in the 450 Class in Monster Energy Supercross this year and won the St. Louis round for his lone victory on the season. He also recorded five additional podium finishes.
Red Bull KTM now appears set for 2023 as Cooper Webb will return through at least the 2023 Supercross season (with an option to race Pro Motocross available) and Aaron Plessinger is on a two-year deal through 2023.
What does this mean for Ryan Dungey, who came out of retirement this year? We will have to wait and see.
