According to Steve Matthes, Monster Energy/Pro Circuit Kawasaki’s Ty Masterpool “broke fingers” in his crash in the 250SX West Region main event Saturday night at round two of Monster Energy AMA Supercross in San Diego.
On the Racer X Review Podcast released Sunday, Matthes said that Masterpool was in a soft cast (or wrap) following the race and is likely to miss some time. Neither the team nor Masterpool have released an update.
Pressed into action at round two, replacing Levi Kitchen, Masterpool was good in his 2025 SX debut with the team. He was battling Jo Shimoda inside the top 10 when he over-jumped in a rhythm section and went down hard. He was unable to complete the rest of the main event.
If Masterpool misses time, we may see Drew Adams, who was expected to race Supercross Futures before turning pro. It was announced before the season that Adams could fill-in if needed and it’s expected the team will need two riders on the West Region and Adams could take the spot.
We’ll update as we know more.
