Rider Completes Baja 1000 with a Starlink Strapped to His Helmet

Completing the Baja 1000 is an incredible feat. Conquering the 1,000-mile race is noteworthy no matter the circumstances. Doing it while having a Starlink Mini attached to YOUR HELMET during the race… LEGENDARY!

Meet Ben Hundter who has been all over the Internet after completing the race with his brother, David, while FaceTiming his mother using a Starlink and an iPhone strapped to his chest.

As Ben explained after the race, he’s always wanted to compete in the event, but his mom gave it a hell nah unless he was able to FaceTime her during the event due to Ben being at Type 1 diabetic.

“I wanted to race the Baja so bad, but my mom wouldn’t let me because I have type 1 diabetes. She said the only way I could race it is if I was live streaming to her the whole time, so I have her on my chest right now,” he said.

Insanity right here.

Ben and David completed the race in 31 hours and 30 minutes, good enough for second in class. But according to Jalopnik, “they ran afoul of a road closure and ran an “illegal line” through the peninsula that awarded them a brutal 17-hour penalty, effectively resulting in their disqualification.”

The think we must make an acceptation here, just this man his trophy!
