Following a 93 percent accuracy rate in 2023, the most-read, most popular blog in Supercross is back for another season of flaming hot predictions.
As the greatest wrastler alive, Ric Flair, once said: “I’m the stylin’, profilin’, limousine riding, jet flying, kiss-stealing, wheelin’ and dealin’ son of a gun.”
Let’s get into the season opener.
Eli Tomac WINS A1
I think I previously picked Ken somewhere, but in a classic heel move, Slaw is changing his pick. Yep, going with Tomac. I don’t think he liked Jett going undefeated in Pro Motocross and is out to prove something for the opener.
Sexton Struggles
Yes, I did have him first in my Power Rankings, but that was out of respect since he won the title last year. I’ve heard some rumors and yeah, I don’t think the opener goes great for the defending champion. Does that mean he won’t be in title contention this year? Ummm, no. Slaw just talking opener.
Jett Podiums
If you don’t like constant Jett talk, we’ll you may want to close your ears for the opener. He’s going to be talked about. A LOT. And for good reason. He just went undefeated and won the SuperMotocross Playoffs. (Yes, we’re talking PLAYOFFS!) Anyway, solid ride from Jett this weekend en route to a podium in his 450SX debut.
Jo Goes
I like RJ for the title, but Jo is going to be super fast in his debut for Honda HRC. He take the opener. RJ is a grizzled vet and knows you can’t win a title at round 1.
Big Names Don’t Qualify in 450SX
This field is STACKED! Is it the most stacked ever? I don’t know. What I do know is some top riders won’t qualify and some are going to be super pissed with a 14th. Welcome to Anaheim 1!
