Welcome to the first Squad Update of 2024! Man, so much has happened in just a short period of time already this year. The T-Dog Squad ELITE Athlete Program has been crushing it so far with our roster. Our guys are getting the best results of their careers, which you have now come to expect with our crew.
Joining the Squad is more than just rocking a sticker on your helmet. We pick you to join a legit crew and we help the riders out anyway we can.
If you’ve been listening to my Squad Pod on the Vurbmoto Podcast Network you’ve heard updates from the riders themselves, but if you haven’t here is what our crew has been up to so far in 2024.
Hunter Yoder
Partzilla PRMX Racing
Current Standing: 10th 250SX West Region
It’s been a season to remember for young Yodog. He’s signed a two-year deal with Partzilla PRMX and he’s having the best results of his career. He’s gone 13-8-9-14-10 to start the year. Before this season, he had never reached the top ten before and now, after getting there three times, he expects himself to be there every weekend. Yoder is in shape, riding incredible, and he believes in himself, which are some essential ingredients to doing well in this sport. His starts have been on point. Also, our stickers delete three seconds off your lap times.
Justin Starling
JSR Motorsports
This season has been more than a little rough on Star Doggy. He hasn’t qualified for a main event yet this season, but he’s going to turn that around tomorrow in Birmingham. With that said, his setup looks better than ever this year and he’s enjoying life at the races. A couple of weeks ago I had him on the Squad Pod and he told me that he was testing with Matt Andruk at Active Ride Suspension to get a more comfortable setting. Other than that we’re looking forward to main events and the birth of his daughter (which is getting really close!).
Marshal Weltin
Gizmo Mods Rock River Yamaha
Current Standing: 10th 250SX East Region
I told Marsh Dog before the season started that he needed to join my Squad and in doing so that he would have the best season of his life. We’re sitting tenth in points of this wild 250SX East Region and we’re only 17 POINTS off of the red plate right now. Another cool thing about Marsh’s season is that before this season started, he had never finished inside of the top ten before in 250SX. His previous career best was 11th, which he accomplished quite a few times. This year he’s gone 9-13-9 and WE are digging for more of the same for the rest of the season.
Grant Harlan
Gizmo Mods Rock River Yamaha
Harlan made his return to racing at Arlington, but hasn’t been able to get into the main event yet. He missed the Daytona main by one spot in the LCQ and we’re expecting him to make his first one in Birmingham. Jumping into the season at the halfway point is no easy task and he’s honestly doing better than I expected so far. Well, he likes to downplay things, but my expectations and vibe are always high.
Derek Kelley
AEO Powersports KTM
It’s been a rough road to recovery for DK Dog after he broke his arm in November. I’ve wrote about his recovery and have had him on my Squad Pod recently to tell his story. However, yesterday he finally put on an update on Instagram. We’re looking to return for the final few supercross races before we head outdoors on a 450.
Ashton Bloxom
Bloxom Construction
Ash Doggy doesn’t race supercross. WE just feel like after all of the shoulder surgeries that we don’t really want to mess with any of that right now. Maybe down the road, but not now. We are riding 2-3 times a week in preparation for the upcoming Pro Motocross Championship. Ashton will be racing every round in the 250 class. Also, a bit of a life update he’s now a Journeyman Electrician, so that’s pretty rad.
