First off, let me start off by saying…HEY KAWASAKI…WHERE IS THE PRESS RELEASE!?!??

Jorge Prado is moving to the United States and will be riding on a Monster Energy Kawasaki for at least the next two years. This has been a deal that has been a ‘for sure’ since about March. We haven’t seen a deal put off this long since Chase Sexton/KTM rumors started floating around about two years before he actually went to the Austrian Group.

I’m seriously going to laugh if the Prado news gets announced today because that is usually how it works with me.

Anyway, Prado is now a four-time World Champion. He’s got two in each class. The Spaniard is still young, he’ll turn 24 in January, right before he takes on his first full season of Monster Energy Supercross. So, what are your expectations for him?

I tell you what, when I first heard about Prado coming here, I wasn’t really thinking about it much. I figured that we’d get there when it’s time. Well, now I’ve had time to sit on this news (Chill T-Dog) for a while and I’m driving the PRADO PARADE BUDDY!

I really think that we have five champions in this sport who are about to win everything in the 450 class for the next ten years. We have Jett Lawrence, Hunter Lawrence, Chase Sexton, Haiden Deegan, and Jorge Prado. These are the premier guys in the sport.

The switch to Kawasaki will be interesting for Prado, as he’s only ridden for the Austrian brand since he turned pro in 2016 and I bet even longer. So, this first year it’s going to take him some time to get acquainted with living in America, adjusting to the new bike, team, and the grueling schedule. I don’t see any championships in 2025 for Prado, but I see plenty of podiums. Prado is a world class athlete and will rise to the occasion on race day. The Pro Motocross Championship is where he’s going to shine the most in 2025. He may even be Jett’s biggest competition outdoors.

I have very high expectations for Prado in America. He won’t win a championship in 2025, but you just wait, in the next 3-5 years he’s going to be one of the guys to beat for championships in the 450 class.

I’m excited to see how all of this plays out, but it’s October 18th…again Kawasaki…you can release the news now!

How do you think Prado will do not only in 2025, but in the next 5-10 years?
