You’re only as good as your last race…and in the case of Pierce Brown…he won his last race! So, he’s going to have some of the highest stock heading into the 2025 season.

It’s basic science.

Brown’s first career win couldn’t of happened at a more perfect time. It was the last race for the TLD GasGas crew, which he had been a member of since he was an amateur, so to award them with that W had to feel amazing.

Also, Brown has officially made the switch to the Monster Energy Star Racing Yamaha team for the 2025 season as well.

Here is a first look in his new digs:

Now, I know that all of you know this, I’m just laying down the facts before I completely hit you with a very hot take. Here it is:

The move to Star Racing will now put Brown on another level. I have a strong feeling that Brown won’t race the same coast as his new teammate Haiden Deegan, which will make him a title contender. I even think that if he races the same coast as the Deegs that he would challenge and get some wins, but he won’t have enough for the championship against him. It’s a pretty much done deal that Deegs will win a SX championship in 2025.

I’m a bit skeptical about a championship for Brown in 2025, like given past results and crashing issues, do I foresee Brown being able to overcome a team switch and deliver a numero uno in his first try? I don’t know man, the class is so stacked right now and some other riders will level up this offseason as well. We have riders returning from injury who can also win a championship IF they can finally stay healthy. I mean, Shae Bentley made it happen, so anything is possible.

I’ll leave you with this final thought. Brown is clearly coming off of his best season overall of his career. He scored the most points of his career by a large margin and this is coming from a guy who has finished third in SX. To see drastic changes like this in year five of his young career is outstanding. Star must feel like their hitting the jackpot right now. Brown is still very young as well. He turned pro in 2019 at 17 and he just turned 22 this past June. He’s got plenty of time to become a champ, but I feel like 2025 is important in keeping that momentum up and staying healthy will be a huge part of that.

Now it’s time for you to let me know how right or wrong I am. Let me know in the comments your expectations of Brown in 2025. Am I too high or too low?
