Most Likely is such a banger that our friends at Michelin have already jumped on board! So, go buy some new tires for your entire lineup!

Each week, Slaw, Troy, and sometimes Denny Stephenson, (and sometimes Cade Clason) will come up with some topics and then list the riders most likely to accomplish those feats. Hence the title “Most Likely”. Most would call us beautiful minds.

Today, I Troy Dog, have listed three riders who will step their game up with their new teams in the 2025 SuperMotocross season. Don’t worry, I’ve listed my reasonings as well. We have rules to the format ya know?

Pierce Brown

The TLD GasGas Team is probably like, ‘okay now you figure it out in our last race together?’ Either way, what a fitting end to Pierce Brown’s run with TLD. The team brought him on as an amateur and stuck with him until the team was done for. I guess cutbacks are being made in the Austrian group and TLD will be out as their official GasGas Team. Don’t fret, the rumor is that TLD will be back with backing from Ducati in 2026, but that hasn’t been confirmed or announced anywhere.

All I know is that Pierce Brown has officially signed with Monster Energy Star Racing Yamaha for the 2025 SuperMotocross Championship. This move will put him on that next level in the class. I see him building off of his Las Vegas Speedway win and becoming a multi-time race winner in 2025 before contending for or win a Regional Championship in 2026. He will get some podiums outdoors as well in the next season or two, but his main accomplishments will be in SX.

Ty Masterpool

Masterpool is going to surprise some people in SX next season. I know he only has five 250SX Main Events to his name and only two top fifteens in those results, but hear me out. Masterpool is going to have a strong offseason working with the Pro Circuit team and riding with his teammates. This is going to bring his level up to where it needs to be. I’m not saying he’s going to win races or even contend for a championship. Does he have the potential to pop off a Main Event win? I think so.

In the Pro Motocross Championship he will have his tracks the he excels at, like always. It’s going to be hard for him to contend for that championship with Haiden Deegan, Tom Vialle, Levi Kitchen, and Chance Hymas up in the mix, but he will win some Motos and some overalls. He’ll be a rider you look at the end of 2025 and have a higher stock for 2026 than some other riders.

Jordon Smith

This Smith to the Triumph deal hasn’t been officially announced yet, but it’s going to happen. This will move Smith from the GOAT Farm up to Triumph Headquarters, which is Matt Walkers land where Moto X Compound used to be. Smith will ride with Jalek Swoll, Stilez Robertson, and Austin Forkner (when he’s able to ride again).

I think this switch for Smith will be a good one as he made some serious strides with the Star Racing boys the past two seasons. I kind of expected Smith to contend for more wins this past season, but either way he’s turned his career around from all of the injuries he’s had over the years. This switch to Triumph will give him the juice to get a few more wins in 2025 and maybe in 2026 it puts him at a championship level?
