Troy Dog Enterprises, a branch of Vurb Media Group LLC, has signed Ti Lube Honda athlete Grant Harlan to represent the Troy Dog Squad for the duration of the Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship.
Harlan, known to the Troy Dog Squad as “Har Dog” will compete in the 250 class aboard his Ti Lube Honda. Although only in his sophomore season, Har Dog has put in some solid results, whether it was last summer pushing for top tens on a 450, or this season when he improved on his 250SX skills and finished a career high fifth place at Indianapolis 2.
The Ti Lube Honda rider has his attention on outdoor preparations after recovering from a myriad of injuries he sustained at the Daytona Supercross. Harlan will return to racing at High Point on June 19, Round 3 of the series.
Harlan is the Troy Dog brand ambassador for the summer and possibly beyond. Welcome to Troy Dog’s Shack! Kicking off the outdoors has me feeling like one of Santa’s elf’s at Christmas time. Like dang, Santa Dog…let me take a breather.
Now that the big news has dropped, I’d like to take a moment and talk about how all this came to fruition. Somehow and some way Grant Harlan became Har Dog to me. We’ve never even met in person.
One day back at the beginning of the Supercross season I tweeted that Harlan was impressive and he tweeted back, which somehow started the Weekly Twitter Har Dog Check-In presented by vurbmoto, which led to the #troydognation to take him in as our own.
Now here we are sporting me on his helmet every moto. I’ve always wanted to race a National and now I’m set to race 12 motos. I’m here for the party folks and Har Dog is here to further his career. I want to help him do that. I want the entire #troydognation (if they haven’t already) to get behind this kid. He’s got speed, can ride a 250 and a 450 very well, he’s disciplined, and he’s got a great personality. This is everything an athlete should be.
Please, if you’re going to a National this summer, grab an extra air horn for Grant Harlan, stop by his rig, demand a pineapple shirt dog sticker, wave your towels at him as he shreds past you. It’s going to be a great summer… now let’s all have some fun.
