Slaw was thinking about blogging about the Hill bros. Then Sean Brennen, Feld PR guy, went and made Slaw’s job so damn easy, I had no choice but to write about the bros.
And, considering I already blogged about the Lawrence bros earlier today, what a better time than now?
The Hill bros are some of the most talented dudes to ever ride dirt bikes. Seriously, go watch Josh’s vlogs, dude is a BEAST on bikes.
I mean, considering they come from BMX backgrounds this makes a ton of sense, but credit where credit is due, as they say.
Anyway, Justin and Josh have always had questions surrounding their careers about “getting the most” out of them. Slaw ain’t here to go down that tunnel.
I’m here because Josh and Justin have been showing out recently on their Team Tedder Monster Energy Mountain Motorsports bikes. Spoiler: These aren’t exactly factory bikes either.
This is incredible, especially considering Justin has been gone from Monster Energy Supercross for the last two years, and Josh has raced the series sparingly since stepping away from racing in 2015.
Why am I writing this article now? Because Sean made my job easy and provided ME (and others, apparently) with this cool stat.
“History was made this past weekend in Detroit, Mich. at Round 10 of the 2023 Monster Energy AMA Supercross Championship as brothers Justin and Josh Hill both finished inside the top 10 with 7th and 10th place finishes, respectively. Justin and Josh became the first set of brothers in nearly 50 years to finish inside the top 10 of a premier 450SX Class Main Event on the same night. The last duo to do it was Jim and Ron Pomeroy in Houston in 1974.”
Great job Hill bros.
