We Unearthed Footage of Ken Roczen’s Second EVER Race in America

If you are looking for footage of any race ever in the history of this grand sport, there’s a chance it is sitting on a hard drive in Wes Williams’ office.

Lake Whitney 2006? Yep, has it. World Mini 2007? Has that as well. Stacks upon stacks of hard drives featuring every rider from Cooper Webb and Eli Tomac to James Stewart and Ricky Carmichael. If it exists, Wes probably has a copy of it… somewhere.

Over the weekend, despite walking around like an 80-year-old man due to a back issue, Wes couldn’t help himself and had to dig through said archives and pull out this amazing footage of a young Ken Roczen in just his second ever race in the United States.

The year: 2006. The race: Mini O’s. And there is Wes sticking a camera in Ken’s face. Who knew at the time that Ken would go on to be a global star, win titles around the world, and be one of the best of all-time. Apparently, Wes.

To celebrate Ken’s first Daytona win, let’s all enjoy watching a young Kenny race around Gatorback.
