World Supercross Announces 10-Year Agreement With FIM

A lot of questions have been surrounding the World Supercross Championship…since its inception. A lot has changed within the original WSX crew and Alex Gobert of MotoOnline.com did a tremendous job of getting the scoop on Adam Bailey’s resignation.

This has left the current status of the WSX hanging in the balance as far as the future goes.

However, today WSX announced on X that SX Global just signed a deal with the FIM for a TEN YEAR extension!

Yeah, man. I don’t even know what I’m doing tonight for dinner and we’ve got people making business deals for ten years down the road. Some things are clearly happening behind the scenes right now within WSX.

Gobert also reported in his story (that I linked above), that when MotoOnline reached out to “SX Global chief operating officer Stephen Rogers (he) provided limited information, indicating that plans are still in place for the WSX championship to continue, with a 2024 schedule to be released. No comment was made on Bailey’s position within SX Global”.

The rumors are that the WSX Championship will hold a handful of rounds in 2024 and Steve Matthes has reported that the MotoConcepts team will be racing them.

We’ll keep you updated as we learn more about the upcoming season of the World Supercross Championship.
